The Atrocities of the Russo-Ukraine war continue.

Recap: What is the current situation of the Russo-Ukrainian War?

Russia claims to have annexed four regions in Ukraine: Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk

Vladimir Putin has declared that these four regions in eastern Ukraine now belong to Russia.

Pro-russian officials in those regions organized referendums and told people they had to vote on whether they wanted to join Russia.

When the results were announced they appeared to show that an overwhelming number had voted yes.
What happened?: This Monday, Ukraine’s cities, including Kyiv, came under the most violent, explosive attacks in months.
At least eight people were killed and at least 24 others wounded.

Crimea bridge blast - Ukrainians retaliated against the Russian atrocities, following an explosion on Saturday that damaged a bridge linking Russia with Crimea. President Vladimir V. Putin labeled it a “terrorist attack.”
Nuclear threats - President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, emphasized the possibility of using nuclear weapons to guarantee its control over the Ukrainian territory.

Mr. Putin said he would use “all available means” to defend the four annexed provinces of Ukraine (mentioned above) that he claims is Russian territory.
What to expect: Ukrainian retaliations are forcing Russian troops into retreat from large areas of Ukraine

However, it seems like Russia will continue to launch unprecedented attacks and pose threats to Ukrainians.
Putin’s The original objective: to discourage the Ukrainian government from joining the Western defensive alliance Nato.
His current objective: "Putin needs a victory, at least he needs something he can present to his constituency at home as a victory.
